MAN LYNCHED AT BOHYEN AMPABAME

A man, believed to be aged between 25 and 30 years, has been lynched at BohyenAmpabame, a suburb of Kumasi. 

His naked body was found on the Amapabame M/A School Park with deep cuts on the forehead, leg and some other parts with blood dripping from the nose.

 It is also believed that the man dropped dead while fleeing from his attackers from the vicinity at dawn today. 

This was evident from the blood stains that could be traced to where he ostensibly sustained the injury. 

Some residents of the neighbourhood who spoke to Ashanti Today on condition of anonymity, alleged that the deceased was among a gang of three men who went on an armed robbery expedition within the vicinity.

 The source claimed that while they were being pursued, his two suspected accomplices managed to escape leaving him alone in the grips of the suspected armed robbery attack who subjected him to violent physical attack.

THE STATE OF KUMASI'S 'INDUSTRIAL AREA

The once Industrial enclave of the Ashanti region within the Kumasi metropolis is fast losing its status as the nerve centre of jobs for the people.     This is due to the collapse of most of the companies in quick succession in  the last few years for various reasons. New Campus of the Kwamang Presby SHS The Kwamang Presby Senior High/Technical School in the Sekyere Central district of Ashanti needs an urgent external intervention to address some of its pressing basic needs to function very well.  A visit by Ashanti Today to the school’s premises revealed that the school does not have an administrative block to administer affairs of the school for which reason the Headmistress, the Bursar and another staff are sharing one room which has been partitioned, while the Assistant Headmaster, the rest of the Accounts staff among other administrative officers are also working from an improvised classroom.
