PAUL AFOKO TO GO TO COURT-NANA YAW OSEI

The embattled National Chairman of the NPP, Paul Afoko has finally decided to seek redress in the law court.  His Spokesperson, Nana Yaw Osei, disclosed this in an interview in Accra today. Nana Yaw Osei explained that the decision of Mr. Afoko to resort to the court is because of his mistrust of the internal party structures to fairly address his problems considering how he has been treated so far.  He said already, Mr. Afoko has started the processes to seek assistance of the law court.  Nana Yaw Osei said also that the decision of the suspended National Chairman of the NPP is also to insist on the rule of law and test the Constitution of the party saying that Mr. Afoko has not been given enough opportunity in the party’s attempt to resolve the wrangling.  He described the entire disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Afoko as illegal which should not be allowed to stand.  He therefore disagreed with the flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s ad

FACTIONALISM NOT PERCULIAR TO NPP-RESEARCH COORDINATOR

The Research Coordinator of the NPP for the Northern Sector, Bright Kusi has played down on the impact of the ongoing wrangling in the party in its chances in next year’s Presidential elections.  According to him, even though there is factionalism in the party now, party divisions and affiliations are normal with human institutions particularly political parties, and cited previous happenings within the ruling party, NDC, to calm down the nerves of members of the NPP.  Speaking on GBC’s Garden City Radio’s Super Morning Flight morning show today , the NPP’s Research Coordinator emphasized that what is important in the face of such present challenges is the party’s ability to prevail and remain focused on its agenda to win the 2016 Presidential elections, adding that NPP’s chances in next year’s elections are very bright.  Mr. Kusi said despite last Friday’s decision by the National Executives Committee to suspend indefinitely the National Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Afoko

CHIEF OF STAFF TOURS REVAMPED JUTE SITE

(From L-R) Mr. Fosuhene, Mr. Debrah and Mr. Adem   The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah has expressed excitement about the revamping of the defunct GIHOC Fibre Product Company popularly known as Jute Factory, years after it was put on the divestiture.  After paying a working visit to the project site at the industrial hub of Kaase in Kumasi, Mr. Debrah expressed satisfaction with the progress of the works to revive Ghana’s once sole jute sacks producer for the cocoa industry.  The Chief of Staff was conducted around the facility by the Project Consultant, Frank Fosuhene, and the Acting General Manager of Ghana Jute Mills Limited, Gariba Adem.  Already, more than 100 artisans have been engaged under four different contractors to work on the main administrative block, re-roofing of the main factory block, fencing around the entire factory and landscaping.  About 30 per cent of the old machinery in the defunct factory will be refurbished with new parts,

'MUGABI'S CONTRACT KILLING GANG BUSTED

(L-R) 'Mugabi", Cosmos Frimpong and Sammy Tugah The Police in the Ashanti region have arrested a group of persons suspected to be members of a notorious gang who have not just been terrorizing innocent residents, but also undertake contract killings.   T he suspected gang, headed by a 30-year old man, Kwabena Yeboah also known as Mugabe, is linked to the assassination of the Assembly Man for Akonfre, Samuel Frimpong about in March last year.    This gang is reported to be connected with many heinous crimes against the residents in the Ashanti region.  One major crime said to have been committed by the Mugabe-led gang is the assassination of Mr. Frimpong at the entrance to his house while he was returning from work.  Sammy Tugah, in a video recording shown to journalists by the Police, confessed that a brother of the deceased Assembly Man, Cosmos Akwasi Frimpong, contracted the gang to kill the Assembly Man.  This was to allegedly enabl

KEJETIA TRADERS ASSURED
