A statement jointly signed by the branch Chairman, Eric Kyei and the Coordinator, William Boakye Baafi and issued to the media in Kumasi noted that members of the Association are not surprised at the confirmation of Mr. Kor who has been acting in that capacity since January of this year.

The President, acting in consultation with the Ghana Education Service Council, recently confirmed Mr. Kor as the substantive Director General.

The statement noted that the new GES DG is known to be hardworking, humble and committed to duty adding that the Association is very happy about the decision of the President.

The Association of Catholic Teachers is therefore praying for divine protection, guidance, courage, inspiration and strength for the new Director General of the GES for him to change the face of formal education in the country.

The Association is however urging the appointing authority and the powers that be to give Mr. Kor the needed space and free hand to deliver to the best of his ability.
