PAUL AFOKO TO GO TO COURT-NANA YAW OSEI
The embattled
National Chairman of the NPP, Paul Afoko has finally decided to seek redress in
the law court.
His Spokesperson, Nana Yaw Osei, disclosed this in an interview
in Accra today. Nana Yaw Osei explained that the decision of Mr. Afoko to
resort to the court is because of his mistrust of the internal party structures
to fairly address his problems considering how he has been treated so far.
He
said already, Mr. Afoko has started the processes to seek assistance of the law
court.
Nana Yaw Osei said also that the decision of the suspended National
Chairman of the NPP is also to insist on the rule of law and test the
Constitution of the party saying that Mr. Afoko has not been given enough opportunity
in the party’s attempt to resolve the wrangling.
He described the entire
disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Afoko as illegal which should not be
allowed to stand.
He therefore disagreed with the flagbearer of the party, Nana
Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s advice to party faithful to respect the suspension
decision of the National Executive Committee.
The Spokesperson described Mr.
Afoko as one of the most vilified members of the NPP since he declared his
intentions to contest the National Chairmanship position.
He was the first
party member to have been referred to the Interpol by the party of which he is
a member for no wrong done.
Nana Yaw Osei refuted all the allegations leveled
against Mr. Afoko adding that the man is determined to succeed as the National
Chairman of the NPP.
