13 DELTA FORCE MEMBERS CONVICTED

All the thirteen members of the vigilante group, Delta Force who escaped from lawful police custody, have been fined a total of 31 thousand 200 Ghana Cedis. 

Again, they are to sign a bond to be of good behaviour for six months   or in default face a three year jail term each.  

The suspects who appeared at a Kumasi Circuit court four this morning in handcuffs under a heavy security guard,   pleaded guilty to the charge of escaping from lawful custody. 

The court, presided by Ekow Mensah, explained that it was being lenient with them because they are first time offenders and also turned themselves to the police.

 Also they have shown remorse for their behaviour.

 Meanwhile the accused persons are to appear again at the KMA Circuit Court on the 20th of this month to face charges of conspiracy to commit crime, assault on a public officer, causing unlawful damage and preventing a public officer from doing his lawful duty.
