VOTE IN ASSEMBLIES ELECTIONS-NATIONAL HSE OF CHIEFS


The National House of Chiefs has expressed satisfaction with the demonstration of love and peace by all Ghanaian during the celebration of this year’s Christmas festivities. 


The House notes that the common message of particularly Christians during the yuletide has been that of love for neighbours and for the nation. 


The House has also appealed to all Ghanaians to let the message permeate all their activities in 2015 to guarantee the needed peace for national development.


 A statement signed by the Acting Registrar of the National House of Chiefs, A.K. Essien and issued to the media in Kumasi, also reminded Ghanaians of the upcoming District Assembly elections scheduled for March next year and appealed to all eligible voters to actively take patronize the exercise and avoid apathy.


 The statement emphasized the fact that District Assemblies are the base of Ghana’s political governance and that their effectiveness can positively affect local governance for development. 


The statement expressed the National House of Chief’s gratitude to traditional authorities across the nation for accepting the National Sanitation Day concept. It appealed to the chiefs to continue to lead their people to clean the environment to reduce the incidences of communicable diseases. 


The statement also thanked chiefs for their support this year and asked for their sustained prayers and cooperation next year so as to minimize chieftaincy conflicts in the country. 


It urged Ghanaians to unite and pray to ensure prosperity and progress for the nation since according to the House, with unity of purpose and hardwork, Ghana can overcome the challenges it encountered in 2014.
