SANITATION DAY 2-LESS PEOPLE, BETTER WORK IN KSI

Patriotic youth groups took part in the exercise
The second edition of the National Sanitation Day in the Kumasi Metropolis which fell today had a major boost with delegates for the mini National delegates Conference of the NDC as well as members of the party used part of their schedule to take part in the clean up exercise.

Even though the number of people who took part of the exercise were not that significant in view of the low publicity and coincidence with the 30th Farmers’ Day celebrations, the work done is substantial.

Ashanti Today can confirm that, unlike in the first edition, today’s clean-up exercise was actively participated by some identifiable groups including youth associations and transport operators.

At Atonsu for instance, fun clubs and the managers and drivers at the local terminal were seen desilting heavily choked gutters and sweeping the filthy places while the KMA tipper trucks were also on standby to cart the residue to the landfill site.
