REGIONAL MINISTER VISITS CENTRAL COMMAND OF GAF


The Ashanti Regional Minister and Chairman of the Regional Security Council, Peter Anarfi-Mensah has paid a day’s working visit to the headquarters of the Central Command of the Ghana Armed Forces, in Kumasi.

 The visit was to interact with the soldiers and also see at first hand the state of facilities at the Command, especially those that require government’s urgent attention. 

During his interaction with the troops, Mr. Anarfi-Mensah noted that the Ghana Armed Forces still enjoys high levels of confidence and respect of the civil society. 

This is mainly due to the level of discipline among the personnel. 

The soldiers must, in turn, do all they can to sustain the confidence. 

Mr. Anarfi-Mensah commended also the Armed Forces for teaming up with the Ghana Police Service and other security apparatus to fight crime in the society to protect life and property. 

The Regional Minister pledged to always support the Command in any way possible. 

The General Officer Commanding the Central Command, Brigadier-General Joseph Boampong, who took the Regional Minister through the operations and mandates of the Command, gave the assurance that the soldiers are prepared to protect and defend the territorial integrity of the country.
