KMA HOLDS CAROLS AND GET TO-GETHER


The Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Kojo Bonsu has assured residents of Kumasi that the police, with able support from the military are on the ground and on high alert to prevent lawlessness and disorder before, during and after the Christmas festivities.

 Measures are also in place to guarantee the safety and security of residents during the period. 

He gave the assurance at a Night of Lessons and Carols organized by the KMA at the Cenotaph Square at Adum as part of activities to mark this year’s Christmas celebrations. 

Activities of the event was the reading of lessons from the Bible, highlighting the birth of Jesus Christ and its implications for the salvation of humanity interspersed with the rendition of Christmas carols by the police/military mass band, Celestial Evangel Choir and Philharmonic Choir. 

Mr. Bonsu thanked the people of Kumasi for their support, encouragement and criticisms that have help to direct the KMA in its forward march to further improving the status of the metropolis. 

He said the Assembly would continue to cherish their ideas and suggestions of residents. 

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Peter Anarfi Mensah said the regional has a lot to be thankful to God, especially for the numerous development projects started this year by the Government and that are ongoing. 

He advised all and sundry not to neglect their security and general well being and stay out of trouble as they go about the festivities.
