KWAW KESE's CASE ADJOURNED TILL 5TH FEBRUARY

The case involving renowned hiplife musician, Emmanuel Botchway, popularly known as Kwaw Kese, has again been adjourned by the Kumasi Circuit Court trying him.

He is to appear again before the Court on the 5th of next month for the trail to resume. At the Circuit Court in Kumasi this morning, Kwaw Kese, his lead Counsel, Nan Akwasi Boaitey and the Prosecutor were all present.

Both his leg counsel and the prosecutor agreed on the adjournment to enable the musician to seek further medical care.

The presiding judge, William Boampong therefore has little to do as he granted the request to allow Kwaw Kese to get better in health. Unlike in the previous hearings, there were relatively fewer people with no known musician around at the court premises during today’s hearing.

Last Wednesday, the musician was granted the much sought after bail by the court in view of his ailing health condition.

He was said to have been brought to the Court room directly from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi where he was said to have been on admission since the 22nd of last month.

It was about the third time that he legal counsel had tried to get him bail after he was arrested by the Police in Kumasi on the 22nd of November last year for smoking a substance believed to be an Indian hemp, a banned narcotic substance in Ghana.
