KUGISS OLD STUDENTS ASSIST SCHOOL

The 1998 year group of the Kumasi Girls’ Senior High School has presented a one thousand, 555 capacity water storage tank to the school at a short ceremony.

The water storage tank, bought at a cost of 700 Ghana Cedis through the voluntary contribution of members of the group.

Making the presentation on behalf of the 1998 year group, a journalist, Beatrice Spio Garbrah explained that the gesture is part of the old students’ contribution towards addressing the perennial water supply challenge facing the school.

The Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Margaret Mac Davis Asamoah, who received the donation, expressed gratitude to the 1998 batch of the old students saying that it will go a long way to help to address the water supply challenges the school has had to endure for many years now.

Mrs. Asamoah however appealed to other stakeholders of the school especially old students, to also contribute towards solving the many problems facing the school including a permanent resolution to the water supply situation.

Some of the continuing students also expressed appreciation to the old students for the assistance.
