DON'T BE DISTRACTED-EC CHAIR URGED



A political group known as JDM Ladies headquartered in Kumasi has encouraged the Chairperson of the Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Charlotte Osei, to remain resolute and focused on discharging her duties as determined by the constitution of Ghana.

 JDM Ladies is as well urging Mrs. Osei not to be distracted by pressure or intimidation but rather focus on delivering a credible election which is free, fair and transparent.   

 The Founder and President of JDM Ladies, Madam Mary Armah gave the advice at the first gathering of the group in Kumasi.

 Madam Armah commended the immediate past Minister for Transport, Mrs. Dzifa Attivor for her courageously accepting responsibility for the controversial rebranding of 116 new Metro Mass Buses and resigning her post. 

Madam Armah also thanked the NDC for giving President John Dramani Mahama the opportunity to lead the party for the second time to contest this year’s Presidential elections. 

She expressed the commitment of JDM Ladies to champion ambition of the President for a resounding victory during the polls. 

Madam Armah entreated all women to join the ‘changing lives-transforming Ghana” train as envisaged by the President H.E John Dramani Mahama.

 On her part, the General Secretary of the group, Mrs. Maud Agyeman-Prempeh said as a women group, JDM Ladies believe in the empowerment of the girl-child and women for national development and social unity. 

She therefore encouraged the members to campaign to ensure that victory in the election is achieved.
