BE WORTHY EXAMPLES-BISHOP OSEI BONSU

President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Most Reverend Joseph Osei Bonsu has advised ministers of the gospel, particularly Catholic priests and monks, to lead the congregations with good examples in speech and conduct.

They should also know that their work is a divine calling purposely to prepare their church members for the kingdom of God.

Most Rev. Osei Bonsu gave the advice at the ordination of two Reverend Fathers as the first Ghanaians into the Congregation of Josephite of Munialdo or Saint Joseph, at Ejisu in the Ashanti region.

They are Reverend Fathers Bernard Manu, a native of Asaamang in the Ashanti region and Richard Donkor from Krachi in the Volta region.

Most Rev. Osei Bonsu, who is also the Bishop of the Konongo-Mampong Catholic Diocese, asked the priests to show submissiveness, respect and humility to both members and leadership of their respective congregations saying that those are the main reasons of their Godly calling.

They must as well accept postings to any mission field to pursue the work of God.

Most Rev. Osei Bonsu asked also the leadership and members of the church to cooperate and support the Reverend Ministers to succeed.

Also, the leaders in particular, should correct the ministers whenever they go wrong without malice or ill motive.

This is because as human beings, they can also err or commit mistakes.
