The Progressive People’s Party, PPP has been selected to participate in a Best Practice Study Session in Pre-Election Campaign Organization being hosted by the UK Liberal Democrats from the 13th to 21st of next month in Liverpool and London.

The Liberal Democrats was formed in 1988 by a merger of the Liberal Party and the Social Democratic Party.

A statement signed by the National Women Coordinator of the PPP, Berlinda Bulley said the essence of the Programme is for the PPP representatives to shadow Liberal Democrat campaigners and political leaders in battleground constituencies and also attend the party’s pre-election conference in Liverpool where they will participate in a tailor-made training programme on campaigning.

It said 12 delegates from around the world have been selected to participate in the week long session.

The statement noted that after reviewing the profiles of over 300 politicians all over the world, 81 were short-listed, out of which, Paa Kow Ackon of the PPP scored the highest and was unanimously selected by the approving board as first choice.

It disclosed that the National Youth Coordinator of the party, Divine Nkrumah has also been selected after a similar competitive process to participate in Liberal Democrats Youth South Africa project.

The statement said the Liberal Democrats have been very impressive with the talents within the PPP and the consistency in the fight against corruption, implementation of the Free Compulsory Basic Education and job creation.
