IMPRESS UPON YOUR YOUTH TO AVOID VIOLENCE-MUSLIM LEADERS TOLD


The Ashanti Regional Minister, Peter Anarfi-Mensah, has entreated Muslims leaders to continue to impress on their youth to stay away from any violent act particularly in this year’s electioneering. 

He noted that Islam is a religion of peace which requires of its adherents to always uphold the principle of peace with all men. 

The Regional Minister gave the advice at the installation of Alhaji Abdallah Umar as the chief of the Walla Community in the Kumasi metropolis at the Kumasi Central Mosque. 

Mr. Anarfi-Mensah cautioned Muslims also against indulging in tendencies that can result into violence. 

Mr. Anarfi-Mensah expressed the readiness of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council to collaborate with all stakeholders, including traditional and religious leaders to speed up socio-economic development of the Ashanti region. 

The Regional Minister expressed the hope that the new Walla Chief would provide leadership of hope, vision and direction for the people of the Walla Community in Kumasi.
