ASHANTI NDC LAUDS NEW APPOINTMENTS

The Ashanti regional office of the National Democratic Congress has expressed satisfaction with President John Dramani Mahama’s latest reshuffle of his ministers.

The party in the region as well has expressed it support for the appointment of John Alexander Ackon and Andy Osei Okrah as the Ashanti Regional Minister and Deputy Regional Minister-designate.

In a statement signed and issued to the media in Kumasi by the Regional Communications Officer, Samed Akalilu, the NDC thanked President Mahama for the appointment of the two party faithful, especially the nomination of a Deputy Regional Minister, a position that has been vacant since the dismissal of Joseph Yamin about a year ago.

The Statement explained that the appointments are timely, considering the fact that all hands are needed on deck towards the realization of the agenda for one million votes in this year’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

It noted that the two appointees are not just true sons of Asanteman, but also tried, tested and proven to be capable to manage their respective offices.

The statement therefore pledged the unflinching support of the party in the region to the appointees when they eventually assume duty.
