CAR DEALER MURDERS WIFE-TO-BE

The Police at Mamponteng in the Kwabre district of Ashanti are pursuing a 36 year old man, Emmanuel Asare Baffour for allegedly murdering his girlfriend, Ama Suzzy after which he has ran away.

The man, who is said to be a car dealer near the Bekwai Roundabout in Kumasi, allegedly murdered the woman last Monday, wrapped the body in a cloth, locked his room and ran away without the notice of any tenant.

The Landlord of the house at Truba popularly known as Buokrom South Africa, Richard Boakye who confirmed the incident to Ashanti Today in interview, said the Police have retrieved the body from the room and deposited it at the mortuary while investigations continue.

According to the Land lord, suspect Asare Baffour rented a room in his house last May and later introduced Suzzy to him as his wife-to-be. They both come from Dunkwa On-Offin in the Central region.

However, Suzzy, now deceased who is a trader comes to lodge with Asare Baffour only when she comes to Kumasi to buy goods to restock her shop in her hometown.

The Landlord said Suzzy came back to the house last Friday and was there till Sunday when a misunderstanding ensued between her and Asare Baffour with the woman claiming that Asare Baffour is indebted to her for which she was demanding the money.

Mr. Boakye said he last saw Suzzy on Monday but when tried to serve them with their light bill, their door was locked.

He said yesterday in the evening while in the house, he noticed a pungent smell but mistook it for a dead rodent.

However, upon a serious search, he realized the stench was emanating from the room of Asare Baffuor while the door to the room was still locked.

He said when he peeped through the window, the woman was found wrapped in a piece of cloth with a bag on top of her body with spills of blood dripping through the cloth and in a state of decomposition.

The matter was therefore reported to the Mamponteng Police who came there and upon a search in the room, found the Passport and National Health Insurance Card bearing the personal details of Asare Baffuor who had by the time ran away from the house without any traces of his movement.
