Verifiable and very credible information available to Ashanti Today is that the Kumasi Central Police in Kumasi has arrested a man believed to be in his 50s, a supposed Pastor, for allegedly threatening to exterminate the immediate former Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Samuel Sarpong and his entire family.

The supposed Pastor, Pastor Adjei based in Ghana's capital, Accra, through two text messages, told the former Minister to watch out, especially with the vehicles he uses for anything in the coming days.

The text messages which Ashanti Today threatened that Dr. Sarpong, his family and the NDC as a political party will as well be handed over to Satan for destruction for an alleged blasphemy.

The messages also attributed the dismissal of Dr. Sarpong from office as a prelude to what is to come.

The 'Pastor', said to be trecking to Kumasi and lodging in a particularly hotel, was yesterday arrested by the police after Dr. Sarpong made a formal complaint.

Information available to Ashanti Today also indicates that upon interrogation by the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye, the man could not offer any tangible explanation for his actions.

He was told that he would be arraigned before Court very soon to face the full rigours of his actions.

He is still languishing in Police custody pending his prosecution.

Meanwhile, it is being rumoured that the supposed man of God is a trickster whose modus operandi is to subject renowned public figures to fear and panic so as to extort money from them.
