JUABEN FREE ZONES ENCLAVE
The Juaben
Traditional Council has reserved a parcel of land measuring two square miles or
one thousand 300 acres for government to designate as a Free Zones enclave.
The
land, which has already been inspected by officials of government, is to
attract local and foreign investors to build factories towards the government’s
industrialization and job creation drive.
The Paramount Chief of Juaben, Nana
Otuo Serebuor, made this known at Juaben during a Church Service to thank God
for his election as Chairman of the Council of State.
The event was attended by
President Akufo-Addo. Nana Otuo Serebuor pledged the support of the Juaben
Traditional Council for the government in its quest to speed up national
development.
He however appealed to the President to convert the Juaben
Constituency into a District so as to accelerate socio-economic development of
the area.
Nana Otuo Serebuor noted that the community is ready to provide the
required basic infrastructure such as residence for the District Chief
Executive for a smooth take off of the district.
Already, Juaben has a District
Police Headquarters and a Circuit Court.
