MAN FOUND IN ROOM THREE DAYS AFTER HIS DEATH

A man believed to be in his early 50s known as Alfred Owusu, was yesterday found dead in his room at Adoato Ship Mu, a suburb of Kumasi.

The man is suspected to have died about three days before he was found by the wife of his landlord, Madam Victoria Gyamera in a state of decomposition and producing unbearable stench.

The wife of the landlord told Ashanti Today that Mr. Owusu is believed to have died from an epileptic attack in the room where he lives alone, as he was a known epilepsy patient.

According to her, the body was found leaning against his bed with foam oozing from the mouth.

She noted that the man came to stay in the house about two years ago with occasional visits by his sister.

Madam Gyamera said early yesterday, she smelled a bad stench in the house and mistook it to be the result of a dead mouse.

However, after a thorough search in the house, she could not trace the stench to any dead rodent.

Madam Gyamera said she decided to find out how Mr. Owusu was faring because it had been long since she saw him in the house.

She said it was upon opening the door to his room that she saw the man dead with the body decomposing.

Madam Gyamera said a report was then made to the Sofoline Police who later came for the body.
