SIX KILLED IN ACCIDENT


  Six persons have died through road accident near Ejura in the Ashanti region this morning.

 The Ejura Municipal Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Richardson Kumeko, who confirmed the incident to Ashanti Today, said five of them died on the spot with the other one passing on while receiving medical treatment at the Ejura Municipal Hospital. 

Three others, drivers of the two vehicles and another person also sustained injuries. 

According to Chief Superintendent Kumeko, the deceased are made up of four adults-including two females, and children.

 Three of them have already been identified by their families. He said the accident, which involved a taxi cab and a tipper truck in a collision, occurred at about 8.30 am yesterday, Thursday March 8, at a community near Nyamebekyere on the Ejura-Nkoranza road. 

Meanwhile, bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Asante Mampong Government Hospital.
