GNCLBLO ACCEPTS GHC1M LOTO OPERATING LICENSE FEE

The Ghana National Chamber of Licensed Banker to Banker Lotto Operators and Agents has accepted the One million Ghana Cedi License Fee charged on Private Lotto Operators by the National Lottery Authority Board.

The Executive Chairman of the Chamber, Frank Adjei, who made this known at a press conference in Kumasi, announced that operators who cannot pay their license fee could join the Chamber to work together.

He commended the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw for taking pragmatic steps to register and license the Operators, Agents and Writers of Banker to Banker Lottery under the Public-Private Partnership in accordance with the National Lotto Act of 2006, Acts 722.

Mr. Adjei assured that the Chamber is ready to partner with the National Lottery Authority and succeeding governments to create jobs and maximize revenue for socio-economic development.

On the other hand, the Chamber has raised concerns about some Nigerians, Chinese and other foreign nationals who are operating Banker to Banker Lottery against the laws of Ghana.

It has therefore urged the Ghana Police Service to arrest and prosecute such operators to protect the business.
