BE FAIR, NEUTRAL BUT RESOLUTE-KOFI BOAKYE URGES POLICE PERSONNEL

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCoP Nathan Kofi Boakye has asked personnel under his jurisdiction to be fair, neutral and honest with all politicians and political parties, especially this year in the discharge of their duties.

This, according to the Police Commander, is one sure way of engendering the trust and confidence of all in the security agency.

DCoP Kofi Boakye gave the advice at Nkawie during the West Africa Security Social Activities, WASSA, of the Nkawie Divisional Command.

The Regional Police Commander emphasized the fact that this year being an election year, it is important for police personnel to remain a-political in dealing with all political parties, groups and individuals so as to win their cooperation and trust.

DCoP Kofi Boakye advised them however, to continue to be firm and professional in performing their duties without being complacent.

He commended the Nkawie Divisional for working hard to reduce the rate of crime in the area.

The Atwima Nwabiagya District Chief Executive, Nana Asare Bediako, noted that this year being an election year, it is incumbent on the Police to show dedication, hardwork, efficiency and determination in providing security without fear or favour.

He pledged the continued support of the District Assembly to the security services in the district particularly the Police for them to deliver. On behalf of the Atwima Nwabiagya District Assembly, Nana Asare Bediako presented a new motorbike to the Akropong Police District and two computer printers to the Abuakwa District to enhance their work.
