CHRISTIAN SERVICE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE NEEDS FUNDS

The management of the Christian Service University College in Kumasi has organized a float as part of activities planned to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the University College. The Float was participated by both staff members and students of the school as they went through selected major streets of Kumasi amidst brass band and gospel music. From the Campus at Odeneho Kwadaso, the participants went through the Santasi Round About through the Old Asante Bekwai Round About, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Adum, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Nhyiaeso, Ahodwo and back to the campus. The participants used the opportunity to distribute free fliers and stickers about the school to residents along the routes. Addressing the staff and students after the float, the President of CSUC, Professor Mrs. Frances Owusu-Daaku, explained that the event was to create public awareness about the school and the 40th anniversary which will be climaxed with a special congregation in December this year. Professor Mrs. Owusu-Daaku said as an evangelical educational institution, CSUC is very much committed to playing a meaningful role in Ghana’s overall formal educational development objective by adopting policies and programmes aimed at empowering the youth through effective and good teaching, research and service. She noted that the special congregation in December will also be used to raise funds to complete the school’s Information and Communication Technology Library Complex as well as provide more scholarship to support brilliant but needy students of the institution. Professor Mrs. Owusu-Daaku therefore appealed to all stakeholders of the school, particularly the old students, friends both at home and abroad to achieve the set target. The school will also organize a clean-up exercise at Trede along the Kumasi-Anwiankwanta highway next month as part of the anniversary activities.
