GCB EDUCATES SME CUSTOMERS ON GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICES


Small and Medium scale enterprises across the country have been urged to interact regularly with the National Board on Small Scale Industries and make use of the various support tools and relevant business and entrepreneurial information it has to offer for the development of their businesses. 

A Senior Business Advisor of the National Board for Small Scale Industries, NBSSI in Kumasi, Samuel Asiedu who gave this advice said, although the NBSSI may not have readily available funds to support new businesses, it is endowed with modern business development support systems to help small and medium scale enterprises to grow. 

Mr. Asiedu was speaking at a Small and Medium Enterprises Clinic in Kumasi, organised by the GCB Bank for about 250of its customers.

 The programme, which was under the theme; “Enhancing Small and Medium Enterprises Opportunities in Today’s Market Place” coincided with the launch of the bank’s latest product christened “The Big Money Promo”. 

The promo which is running till the end of November this year is an initiative of the bank to encourage savings by its customers, enhance their access to credit facilities and other forms of financial assistance from the bank while at the same time, serve as an avenue for the bank to increase its customer base and deposit portfolio.

The Acting Managing Director of the GCB Bank, Samuel Sarpong noted that customers of the bank have an opportunity to win the ultimate cash prize of 300 thousand Ghana Cedis at the grand draw slated for November. 

Aside from this, customers who enter the promotion have the opportunity of winning various sums of money ranging from two thousand Ghana Cedis to 100 thousand Ghana Cedis, five KVA generator sets, Samsung galaxy phones and Tablets during the and mini grand draws.

 The ultimate prize to be won at the November grand draw is a cash of GHC 300, 000.

According to the Head of Consumer Banking of GCB Bank, Mrs. Doris Wunu, all an existing or new customer of the bank need to enter the promotion is to deposit a minimum of 500 Ghana Cedis or in multiples which increases the account holder’s chances of winning in the draw. 

Mrs. Wunu expressed satisfaction with the rising interest of customers in the promo saying, that the promotion has helped the bank to attract 150 thousand customers to its fold. it is the institution’s operational goal to always delight its clients with attractive packages such as this
