KUMASI FANS UPSET WITH COACH, REFEREE BUT HIGHLY HOPEFUL OF BETTER RESULTS SUBSEQUENTLY

Football fanatics and citizens in the Ashanti regional capital of Kumasi have reacted strongly to Ghana's defeat to Portugal in Group H match in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar. 

The senior males national football team lost by two goals to three in their first group match played Thursday evening. Soccre fans in Kumasi who interacted with Ashanti Today immediately the match ended were however impressed with the total team's performance the Black Stars but blamed Ghana's defeat on both the Centre Referee for the penalty awarded to Portugal while criticising Coach Otto Addo for his substitutions. They were interacting with Ashanti Today.

The fans however expressed optimism that, with the performance of the Ghana team despite the defeat, the Black Stars have a better chance of winning their subsequent matches and progressing to the next stage of the competition.
